Nullotitan was named by Fernando Novas and colleagues in 2019. The first fossil, a neck bone, was found by geologist Francisco Nullo in 1981, but the full description came later.1
Steeds omstrede
Scientists are not sure exactly how big Nullotitan grew, because only a partial skeleton has been found. The length is estimated by comparing it to more complete titanosaurs.3
