Adynomosaurus had a very weak shoulder blade, which means its arm muscles were smaller than those of other duck-billed dinosaurs.1

Its name comes from Greek words meaning 'weak shoulder' because of that special shoulder bone.1

This dinosaur lived on the Ibero-Armorican island, a huge island that was part of Europe during the Late Cretaceous.1

Adynomosaurus is known from only a few bones, including a shoulder blade, leg bones, and parts of the spine.1

It lived about 70 million years ago, near the end of the Age of Dinosaurs.1

The fossils were found in a wheat field near the village of Basturs in Spain in 2012.1
