Ferganocephale was a small, plant-eating dinosaur that lived about 165 million years ago. It is known only from a few teeth found in Kyrgyzstan. Scientists are not sure exactly what it looked like because they have not found many bones.1 3

Ferganocephale is known only from teeth. No other bones have been found yet.1

Its name means 'Fergana head' because it was found in the Fergana Valley in Kyrgyzstan.1

Some scientists think Ferganocephale might be a pachycephalosaur, a group of dome-headed dinosaurs. But others are not sure because the teeth are too incomplete.1

The teeth of Ferganocephale have no serrations along the edges. This is unusual for an ornithischian dinosaur.2
