Сонирхолтой баримтууд

Acheroraptor is the youngest known dromaeosaurid, or 'raptor' dinosaur, living just before the mass extinction 66 million years ago.1

Its teeth have unique ridges that run from tip to base, which helped scientists identify it as a new species.1

Acheroraptor was about 3 metres (9 feet) long and weighed around 40 kilograms (90 pounds), making it a relatively large raptor.1

It was likely covered in feathers, like its close relatives Velociraptor and birds.1

Acheroraptor is more closely related to Asian raptors like Velociraptor than to older North American species, suggesting dinosaurs migrated between continents.3
