Khetranisaurus was a long-necked, plant-eating dinosaur that lived in what is now Pakistan. It belonged to a group of giant sauropods called titanosaurs. Its fossils were found in the Vitakri Formation, which was formed near the end of the Age of Dinosaurs.5 1

Its fossils were found in rocks that are about 72 to 66 million years old, from the very end of the Cretaceous Period.5

The name Khetranisaurus honors the Khetran tribe, a local tribe living in the Koh Sulaiman area of Pakistan.1
