Linheraptor was a dromaeosaurid, meaning it was a close relative of Velociraptor.1

Its nearly complete skeleton was found in 2008 by Jonah N. Choiniere and Michael Pittman.1

Linheraptor had a large claw on each foot that it may have used to grab and hold onto prey.1

It lived during the Campanian age of the Late Cretaceous, about 83 to 72 million years ago.2

Linheraptor is thought to be most closely related to another dromaeosaurid called Tsaagan.1
