Propanoplosaurus was a tiny armoured dinosaur that lived in what is now Maryland, USA. It was a baby nodosaur, covered in bony plates, and is one of the smallest dinosaur fossils ever found in eastern North America.1

Propanoplosaurus is known from a single fossil that is a natural mold and cast of a hatchling's skull and front body.1

Propanoplosaurus was named by Ray Stanford, David B. Weishampel and Valerie B. Deleon in 2011. The fossil was found in 1997 in Prince George's County, Maryland, USA.24
