酷東西

趣味知識

Fukuisaurus was named in 2003 by scientists Yoshitsugu Kobayashi and Yoichi Azuma.2 1

Its skull was not kinetic, meaning its upper jaw was fused and could not move sideways while chewing.2

Fukuisaurus lived during the Early Cretaceous period, about 121 to 99 million years ago.1

The first fossils were discovered in 1989 in the Kitadani Formation of Fukui Prefecture.2

Only a skull and some other bones have been found, so scientists guess what the rest of its body looked like based on similar dinosaurs.1

Fukuisaurus was about 4.5 to 4.7 meters long and weighed around 400 kilograms, similar to a large cow.2 1
