Prettige feite
Aethyopus is known only from fossil footprints, not from bones.1
It lived between about 227 and 205 million years ago, during the Norian stage of the Late Triassic.1
The name Aethyopus was given by Edward Hitchcock in 1848.2
Aethyopus is sometimes considered a synonym of another footprint genus called Sauropus.1
Its footprints are tridactyl, meaning they have three toes.1
