Wulagasaurus is one of the oldest known hadrosaurines, a group of duck-billed dinosaurs.2
Its fossils were found in a bonebed where more than 80% of the bones belonged to another dinosaur called Sahaliyania.2
Wulagasaurus had a very slender lower jaw (dentary) that was not pierced by holes, unlike many other hadrosaurs.2
The name Wulagasaurus means 'Wulaga lizard' after the place where it was discovered.1
It lived about 69 million years ago during the Late Cretaceous period.1
Only a few bones of Wulagasaurus have been found, so scientists are still learning about it.1
