Liaoningotitan was named in 2018 by Zhou Chang-fu and colleagues based on a nearly complete skeleton found in the Jehol Biota of western Liaoning, China.12
Still debated
Scientists are not sure whether Liaoningotitan belongs to the Euhelopodidae family or is more closely related to other sauropods like Diamantinasaurus.1
