Daxiatitan's neck was about 12 metres (39 feet) long, which is longer than a giraffe's neck.1
Only one partial skeleton of Daxiatitan has been found, including neck and back bones, a shoulder blade, and a thigh bone.1
The name Daxiatitan comes from the Daxia River, a river that flows near where the fossils were discovered.1
Daxiatitan lived about 122 million years ago, during the Early Cretaceous period.4
Scientists think Daxiatitan walked with a strong outward swing of its legs, based on the shape of its thigh bone.2
Daxiatitan is part of a group of sauropods called titanosaurs, which were some of the heaviest dinosaurs ever.1

?When did Daxiatitan live?
Daxiatitan lived during the Early Cretaceous period, about 122 million years ago.1
?Was Daxiatitan bigger than a T. rex?
Yes, Daxiatitan was much bigger than a T. rex. Daxiatitan was a sauropod that could reach 30 metres (98 feet) long, while T. rex was only about 12 metres (40 feet) long.1
