Angolatitan is known only from a partial right forelimb, so its full size is not known. The upper arm bone measures 110 centimetres (43 inches) long, and the ulna 69 centimetres (27 inches) long.21

Angolatitan was a plant-eater, as are all sauropods. Its teeth are not known, but it likely ate leaves and other vegetation.3

Angolatitan was discovered in May 2005 by scientists from the PaleoAngola Project near Iembe, Angola. It was named and described in 2011 by Octávio Mateus and colleagues.1
