The dinosaur lived during the Campanian stage of the Late Cretaceous, about 76.6 million years ago.1

Its fossils were found in the Aguja Formation, in rocks that were once a small river channel.1

ርኽበት: Angulomastacator was named in 2009 by paleontologists Jonathan Wagner and Thomas Lehman. The species name A. daviesi honors Kyle L. Davies, who first suggested lambeosaurines lived in the Aguja Formation in 1983. The fossil was found by a team from the Texas Memorial Museum at the Dawson Creek locality in Big Bend National Park.1
