Archaeodontosaurus was a long-necked plant-eater that lived on Madagascar during the Middle Jurassic. It had teeth that looked like those of earlier, more primitive dinosaurs, which makes it special among its giant relatives.1

Archaeodontosaurus was named by French paleontologist Eric Buffetaut in 2005, based on fossils found by Didier Descouens in Madagascar.15
