Bagualosaurus was an early long-necked dinosaur that lived about 230 million years ago in what is now Brazil. It was about the size of a small car and walked on two strong legs. This dinosaur was mostly a plant-eater, using its leaf-shaped teeth to munch on ferns and other greenery.1

Bagualosaurus was named and described in 2018 by paleontologists Flávio Augusto Pretto, Max Cardoso Langer, and Cesar Leandro Schultz. The skeleton was found in 2007 near Agudo, Brazil, and studied for several years before being officially named.1
