Histriasaurus was a long-necked plant-eater that lived about 135 to 125 million years ago. It is one of the oldest known members of its family, the rebbachisaurids. Its fossils were found on the seafloor near the coast of Croatia.13

The fossils were found by Dario Boscarolli in the 1980s on the seafloor off the coast of Bale, Croatia. The dinosaur was named Histriasaurus boscarollii by Fabio Marco Dalla Vecchia in 1998.1
