1

Adeopapposaurus had a horny beak on the tips of its upper and lower jaws, like a turtle's beak, to help it eat tough plants.12

2

It had 11 very long neck bones (cervical vertebrae) that made its neck extra stretchy for reaching high branches.2

3

Scientists first thought Adeopapposaurus fossils were from a different dinosaur called Massospondylus, but later realized it was a new genus.1

4

Four partial skeletons and two partial skulls of Adeopapposaurus have been found, giving scientists a good look at its body.1

5

Adeopapposaurus lived during the Early Jurassic, about 200 to 183 million years ago.1

6

Its fossils were discovered in the Cañón del Colorado Formation in northwestern Argentina.12

It was a plant-eater. It had a horny beak on its jaws to help it eat tough plants, and it used its long neck to reach leaves high in trees.13

?Did Adeopapposaurus have feathers?

No source says it had feathers. It was a dinosaur, but no fossil evidence of feathers has been found for Adeopapposaurus.1

?When did Adeopapposaurus live?

It lived during the Early Jurassic, about 200 to 183 million years ago, in what is now Argentina.1

Mothubi wa ditlhamane

Tlhamane: Adeopapposaurus was a giant, four-legged sauropod like Brachiosaurus.

Boammaaruri: Adeopapposaurus was a smaller, two-legged sauropodomorph, only about 3 to 4 meters long, and it walked on its hind legs.1
