Rahiolisaurus lived at the very end of the Age of Dinosaurs, between 70 and 66 million years ago.1
Its fossils were found in a bone bed that contained bones from at least seven different individuals, from young to adult.1
Rahiolisaurus had a more slender and graceful body compared to its relative Rajasaurus.1
It belonged to a group of dinosaurs called abelisaurids, which had very short arms and only four fingers.1
The name Rahiolisaurus comes from the village of Rahioli, near where the fossils were dug up.1
Rahiolisaurus shared its home with other dinosaurs like the long-necked Isisaurus and the meat-eating Rajasaurus.1

?How big was Rahiolisaurus?
It was about 8 metres (26 ft) long and weighed around 2 metric tons (2.2 short tons), though some estimates suggest a shorter length of 6.22 to 6.75 metres (20.4 to 22.1 ft).1
?What did Rahiolisaurus eat?
It was a meat-eater that hunted with its strong head and short arms. Its bite force was similar to Allosaurus, about 3,500 newtons (790 lbf).1
?When did Rahiolisaurus live?
It lived at the very end of the Age of Dinosaurs, between 70 and 66 million years ago, during the Maastrichtian stage.1
?Where was Rahiolisaurus found?
Its fossils were discovered in Gujarat, India, near the village of Rahioli, in the Lameta Formation.1
