Chadititan was a small, slender long-necked dinosaur that lived in what is now Argentina about 78 million years ago. It was a titanosaur, but much smaller and more delicate than its giant cousins. Its fossils were found near a huge salt flat, which gave it its name.12

Chadititan was only about 7 metres (23 feet) long, which is small for a titanosaur. Its limbs were thin and straight, not thick like other titanosaurs.12
Its name comes from the Mapudungun word 'chadi' meaning salt, because its fossils were found near a big salt flat.12
Chadititan lived about 78 million years ago in a dry area with sand dunes and palm trees around a small pond.2
Scientists found the first fossil record of tropical land snails together with Chadititan, showing the area was once wetter.2
