Eousdryosaurus
Eousdryosaurus was a small, speedy plant-eater that lived in what is now Portugal during the Late Jurassic. It had a beak for snipping plants and ran on two legs, dodging bigger dinosaurs.61

Fun facts
Eousdryosaurus had a very small big toe, which is why its species name is nanohallucis, meaning 'tiny big toe'.1
Its foot had a special toe bone formula of 1 to 3-4 to 5-0, meaning it had no fifth toe at all.1
Scientists think Eousdryosaurus is one of the oldest known dryosaurids, a group of fast-running plant-eaters.1
Only one fossil of Eousdryosaurus has been found, a single skeleton from the Alcobaça Formation in Portugal.2
Eousdryosaurus lived about 152 to 145 million years ago, during the Kimmeridgian and Tithonian ages.6
