Siamodon is known from a nearly complete left upper jaw bone called a maxilla, which held several teeth.4

Scientists also found an isolated tooth and a braincase that they think belong to Siamodon.1

Siamodon lived during the Aptian age of the Early Cretaceous, about 125 to 113 million years ago.2

Siamodon was an advanced iguanodontian, a group of plant-eating dinosaurs that are close relatives of the duck-billed hadrosaurs.1

The fossils of Siamodon were found in the Khok Kruat Formation, a rock layer that was once a river floodplain.4 1
