Nullotitan was named in 2019, making it a relatively new dinosaur discovery.1
Its fossils were found near the famous Perito Moreno Glacier, which inspired its species name 'glaciaris'.1
The first bone of Nullotitan was actually collected back in 1981 by José Bonaparte, but it was not named until decades later.3
Nullotitan lived alongside the ornithopod dinosaur Isasicursor and the giant megaraptorid Maip.1
Scientists think Nullotitan was a lithostrotian titanosaur, a group of sauropods with bony plates in their skin.2

- Nullotitan was named by Fernando Novas and colleagues in 2019. The first fossil, a neck bone, was found by geologist Francisco Nullo in 1981, but the full description came later.1
