Mfundo zosangalatsa
Vectidraco was discovered by a girl named Daisy Morris and her family on a beach in 2008.2
Its name means 'dragon from the Isle of Wight' because it was found there.1
Vectidraco is known only from a partial pelvis and some vertebrae, so scientists are still learning about it.2
It lived about 125 to 119 million years ago, during the Early Cretaceous period.3
It belonged to a group called azhdarchoids, which includes some of the largest flying animals ever.2
