Xinjiangovenator is known only from a single partial right lower leg, including the tibia, fibula, and ankle bones.1
Its lower leg (tibia plus ankle bones) was 31.2 centimetres (12.3 inches) long.1
The name Xinjiangovenator means 'Xinjiang hunter' after the region of Xinjiang in China.1
