Kotasaurus was an early, long-necked dinosaur that walked on four legs. It lived in what is now India during the Early Jurassic period, about 190 million years ago.1

Kotasaurus was named and described by P. Yadagiri in 1988. The fossils were found in the late 1970s near the village of Yamanpalli in India.12
