Huabeisaurus
Huabeisaurus was a huge, long-necked plant-eater that stomped around what is now China during the Late Cretaceous. It was about as long as a bowling lane and as tall as a two-story house. This dinosaur helps scientists understand how sauropods evolved in Asia.1

The skeleton was found in the 1990s in the Huiquanpu Formation of Shanxi, China.1
Huabeisaurus had five vertebrae fused together in its hip area, forming a strong plate.2
It lived alongside the ankylosaur Tianzhenosaurus and other dinosaurs.1
The specimen was almost fully grown, but not completely mature, because some bones had not yet fused.1

?What did Huabeisaurus eat?
Huabeisaurus was a plant-eater, just like other sauropods. It had peg-like teeth for stripping leaves and a long neck to reach high vegetation.1
?When did Huabeisaurus live?
