Catenoleimus is only known from a single bone, a coracoid, which is part of the shoulder.1
This bird belonged to a group called Enantiornithes, which were the most common birds during the Cretaceous.1
Scientists think Catenoleimus was about 20 to 25 centimeters long, about the size of a modern pigeon.1
Its coracoid bone looks more primitive than those of other enantiornithine birds from the same time.1
