Luanchuanraptor is the first dromaeosaurid dinosaur found outside the Gobi region and northeastern China in Asia.1
Its teeth had about 24 serrations (like tiny saw teeth) per 5 millimeters on the back edge.1
The bones in its tail had long extensions that wrapped around the vertebra in front, helping the tail stay stiff.1
The upper arm bone (humerus) was straight, and the deltopectoral crest (a ridge for muscle attachment) covered almost the upper half of the bone.1
