Propanoplosaurus was a tiny armoured dinosaur that lived in what is now Maryland, USA. It was a baby nodosaur, covered in bony plates, and is one of the smallest dinosaur fossils ever found in eastern North America.1

Propanoplosaurus is known from a single fossil that is a natural mold and cast of a hatchling's skull and front body.1
It lived about 119 to 113 million years ago during the Early Cretaceous Period.4
This dinosaur is the first hatchling dinosaur ever reported from the eastern United States.1
The fossil was found in the Arundel Clay Member of the Patuxent Formation in Maryland.2
