Convolosaurus had four teeth in the front of its upper jaw, a feature that helps scientists tell it apart from other ornithopods.2
Fossils of at least 29 individuals were found at the Proctor Lake site, including many young dinosaurs.2
The name Convolosaurus means 'flocking lizard' because the fossils were found in clusters, possibly from a nesting site.12
Convolosaurus had curved tooth roots in its upper jaw, a more advanced feature for its time.2
The largest known Convolosaurus skeleton was about 2.5 to 3 meters long, but it was not a full-grown adult.2
