Incolornis is known only from a few pieces of bone called coracoids, which are part of the shoulder.1
One species, Incolornis martini, was first thought to belong to a different bird group called Enantiornis.1
The larger species, Incolornis martini, was about 220 mm long, while the smaller one, Incolornis silvae, was about 135 mm long.1
Incolornis lived during the Turonian stage, about 93.9 to 89.8 million years ago.2
Scientists are not sure exactly where Incolornis fits in the bird family tree; it might have been an enantiornithine bird.1

- Incolornis was named by A. V. Panteleyev in 1998. The first species, Incolornis silvae, was described from a left coracoid found in Uzbekistan.31
