Stormbergia is known from three partial skeletons, which include many bones from the back half of the body.1
It was significantly larger than other ornithischian dinosaurs from the same rock formation, like Lesothosaurus.1
Scientists can tell Stormbergia apart from its relatives by a special tab-shaped part on its hip bone called the obturator process.1
Stormbergia lived during the Early Jurassic, about 201 to 191 million years ago.2
