- Blasisaurus was named in 2010 by Spanish paleontologists Penรฉlope Cruzado-Caballero, Xabier Pereda-Suberbiola, and Josรฉ Ignacio Ruiz-Omeรฑaca. The fossils were found at the Blasi 1 site in Arรฉn, Huesca, Spain.41
